Show a compatible HDMI capture input as part of a SignMitra screen layout.

Before you begin

Connect and verify the supported HDMI capture hardware on the player device before publishing the app.

Good to know

HDMI capture requires compatible player hardware and permissions.
Test HDCP-protected sources before deployment.
Keep a fallback slide available.

Publishing

After saving the app, add its slide to a playlist and publish that playlist to the required screen. Use Preview to confirm the layout before sending it to a live display.

Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Connect the source

Connect the HDMI source to the supported capture input and power on both devices.

Step 2: Create the HDMI app

Open Live HDMI and select the available input device.

Step 3: Configure video and audio

Choose resolution, fit, latency and audio behavior where available.

Step 4: Preview on the player

Confirm the input is visible and stable on the actual device.

Step 5: Set a fallback

Choose fallback content for a disconnected or unsupported source.

Step 6: Save and publish

Save the app and publish the slide to the compatible player.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the input black?

Check capture-device permission, cable connection, input format and whether the source uses HDCP.

Can browser preview show the HDMI input?

Hardware input may only be available on the compatible player device.

Why is audio missing?

Select the capture audio input and confirm the player output volume.
